The first on-set images have leaked from the set of Hugh Jackman’s new one, an adaptation of the phenomenally popular stage musical,Les Misérables.

The pics show Jackman in costume as Valjean, sporting a straggly beard and a fairly slapdash buzz-cut. This will presumably be the stage at which Valjean is newly released from prison, before his journey of redemption begins in earnest.

Directed by The King’s Speech helmer Tom Hooper, Les Misérables is set in Paris during the early 19th Century and tells the story of a number of interconnected characters in the build-up to the June Rebellion of 1932.

Jackman will be joined on-screen by Russell Crowe as the villainous Javert, with support provided by the likes of Amanda Seyfried, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter.

AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH MAKE-UP MASTER/BEARD ARCHITECT VE NEILL

Citizens, it’s become pretty clear that a new up-and-comer has stolen the show this Hunger Games season — and we’re not talking about any tribute. Head Gamemaker Seneca Crane’s beard has become the talk of the Capitol, inspiring copy-cat creations all over town. While any old district citizen can pick up a razor, Capitol Couture went straight to the source - masterly make-up artist Ve Neill — to get an exclusive interview on how she crafted Panem’s best-tressed secret.

In this side-splittingly funny murder-mystery farce, a creative team meets at a potential backer’s secluded mansion to pitch a new Broadway show. During their visit, members of the group begin to drop dead one by one at the hands of a mysterious “slasher.” Trapped by a snow storm, panic, chaos and hilarity ensue as accusations are made and eventually the mystery is solved. “The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940” is a clever and wildly comic show!!!! 444 Appleyard Drive | Tallahassee, FL 32304 | (850) 201-6200 | (Taken with GifBoom)

Vampire Diaries Fan Fiction (Daemon)

A small part of my delusional mind believed she had feelings for me as well. Feelings that Stefan did not, and could not, give her. Elena and I were on a level all our own. If I live to be a million, nobody will ever come close to touching my heart as she did. She had pierced it with her very own mark, much deeper than anyone ever had. In fact, much deeper than Katherine ever had. I think I left a mark on her heart, too, whether or not she actually feels it.

First Look At Daniel Radcliffe As Allen Ginsberg In Kill Your Darlings

In the discussion of an actor looking like the real person that they’re playing, David Cross as Allen Ginsberg in I’m Not There ranks pretty high. From the receding hairline to the thick rimmed glasses to the bushy beard, Cross was a perfect doppelganger in Todd Haynes’ 2007 film, but looking at the first set photos fromKill Your Darlings, a movie in which Daniel Radcliffe plays the famous beat poet, Cross might be given a run for his money.

Set in 1994, Kill Your Darlings tells the story of a murder at Columbia University that brought together luminaries of the beat generation including Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs. In addition to Radcliffe the film also stars Elizabeth Olsen, Michael C. Hall, Ben Foster, Jennifer Jason Leigh and David Cross (funnily enough, as Ginsberg’s father, Louis). The script was written by Krokidas and Austin Bunn and is currently in production. There is no distributor in place yet.

Because the new movie, directed by John Krokidas, is set back in the 1940s, Radcliffe is actually playing a much younger version of Ginsberg than Cross did, but the resemblance is just as uncanny. It’s amazing what a tweed jacket, a new set of spectacles and a fresh haircut can do. EW has the full-size pic, but you can see a smaller version of the photo below as well as a photo of the real young Ginsber
