Please come out and support Theatre TCC’s student written/directed/produced show! The WORLD PREMIERE ofAnthony Cabrera's “My Picture Perfect Weekend.” ONLY TWO PERFORMANCES!! Our students have been working very hard on this production, and it shows!

*All of the proceeds will be donated to TCC’s Veterans Club.

Theatre TCC presents the premier of Anthony Cabrera’s My Picture Perfect Weekend. Combining bits and pieces of classic television, My Picture Perfect Weekend brings sitcom-style comedy to the stage. Coming home for the weekend has been a little less than perfect for Charlie Peterson, the straight A student and a squeaky clean daughter of Christine and Elliot Peterson. Her perfect image in may be a bit askew when Charlie brings someone home to “meet the parents”. Add a drunk, over the top aunt, a sleazy ex boyfriend, and narcissistic best friend into the mix, and you have yourself an interesting dinner party. If that’s not enough, whats better than adding resentful mother-in-law and a Rico Sauve enter the picture, and you have a recipe for disaster brewing. Let’s just say, this weekend may be far from picture perfect.

The performance will be a benefit show, where donations will be accepted and the proceeds will be going to TVC Foundation Hero Scholarship.

As musical extravaganza Les Miserables inches towards the big screen waving a tricolour over its head and whooping in a vaguely French accent, our excitement levels surge. Tom Hooper’s adaptation of Victor Hugo’s classic novel promises big tunes, tense drama, romance and the kind of old-school Hollywood spectacle not seen since the heyday of MGM and RKO.

These new pics from the film have come to light over at USA Today. They offer more of the intimicacy than the spectacle of Hooper’s movie, but show Hugh Jackman’s reinvented crim Jean Valjean, Russell Crowe as pitiless lawman Javert, and Anne Hathaway as Joan of Arc lookalike Fantine, a woman forced to work as a prostitute and sell her hair to provide for her young daughter Cosette.

In the spirit of the stage musical, all of the film’s dialogue is sung. Susan Boyle fans - and surely that’s all of us - will want to know that ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ duties will fall to Hathaway. Here’s hoping Crowe gets to cover at least one 30 Odd Foot Of Grunts track.

Les Miserables is out on January 11, 2013. Head over to USA Today for a closer look at these and other stills from the movie.
